The Georgia College & State University Alumni Association Board of Directors is made up of 31 alumni who represent the Georgia College alumni base from across the nation. The alumni board is the governing body for the Georgia College Alumni Association. Primary responsibilities of the board include general oversight of the programs and initiatives of the GCSU Alumni Association, financial audit and review, creation of governing policies and strategic planning. Board members are volunteers, and selected by Board of Directors’ Alumni Recognition Committee and confirmed by the current board. Mission and Vision
Mission
The association shall empower alumni to forge enduring connections with their alma mater, each other and the wider community. The association shall enrich the lives of alumni through a spectrum of valuable services, including dynamic networking platforms, exclusives programs and engaging GCSU-oriented events, while championing the university’s goals. The association shall seek to mobilize resources, foster support and involvement and passionately advocate for GCSU’s continued success.
Vision
The association aims to be recognized and respected as an alumni organization that builds positive long-term relationships among Georgia College & State University alumni, the university and communities across Georgia and beyond to support the strategic initiatives of the university.
